Today, if we just want to browse the web, we can do almost everything with one program - a web browser. A browser is one kind of 'net interface'. Net interfaces are programs which sit between you and the internet and help you and the Net make sense to each other. The browser takes care of the technical details of connecting you to the web, and makes sure that the information from the internet arrives in a way that makes sense to you. It also finds out what you want to do, and passes on the information in a way that the internet can understand.
Avui en dia si nosaltres volem navegar per internet ho podem fer des d'un sol programa- el navegador d'internet. El navegador es una de les moltes interficies d'internet. Les interficies d'internet són uns programes situates darrera que t'ajuden a que s'entenguin l'usuari i l'internet. El navegador agafa alguns detalls tècnics de la teva web i la fa segura la teva inforamció a internet perquè arribi i la pugi entendre. Troba el que tu vols i fa que s'entengin entre ells.

Les pagines web son fetes en diferents parts. Les pagines que contenen molta informació però no son gaire interactives es diuen pagiens estatiques. Normalment estan escrites en un llenguatge anomenat HTML. Les pagines interactives també poden ser escrites en VBS o JavaScript. Perquè pot ser perillos fer correr els programes que no coneixem, moltes webs interactives avui fan servir scripts que no corren en els nostres ordinadors. Aquests scrips molt sovint fan servir un llenguatge desenvolupat per php.
